Night Festival – VOYAGE!

In VOYAGE, the Night Festival explores in music, theatre, and image the cultural confluences and melting pots along sea routes that bore Singapore’s early immigrants from Asia and Europe.

an evocation of the spirit behind journeys of departures,arrivals,landings; of passages, pilgrimages, inter-marriages encountered in sound,movement and images.

CultureLink founder Goh Ching Lee, appointed the Artistic Director of the Night Festival 2011, celebrates the dreams, hope and  courage behind all sea journeys in song, rhythm and images. Voyage Night Festival 2011 explores the cultures nurtured by the seas and memories of history’s great explorers, emissaries and traders.

The Night Festival is a annual nocturnal extravaganza of live music, performance and exhibitions in the spaces and grounds of the National Museum, Singapore Art Museum, The Peranakan Museum, Substation, attracting up to 80,000 audiences.
