While we understand the role of artists and arts managers, less is known about the role and function of creative producers. 

In conjunction with the Creative Producers Development Programme, we organised  several industry sessions to promote knowledge and networking among the growing community of producers:

Hey! Are You a Creative Producer?

brings together for the first time industry veterans and aspirants in a public sharing session to discuss the role and relevance of creative producers in Singapore’s performing arts sector today. Creative producing can be a daunting prospect and process. What are the skills set and strategies needed to forge a way forward?

Hey! Need Some Producing Advice?

Producing a new work is often an exciting venture but also a daunting leap into the unknown. Will my idea fly and resonate with the public? How do I seek potential partners? Who are the artists and designers I can collaborate with? What makes a compelling grant application? Can I tour this work overseas?

Following the success of the first panel discussion, a consultation clinic  was held with veteran producers offering advice to those wishing to start or find ways to further develop a creative project, providing a sounding board for their ideas and practical tips on resolving challenges.
